What is a promo plan?

Promo is an advertising plan of our hosting, aimed at attracting new customers. Its feature is the provision of characteristics that are several times superior to the cost of the plan itself. In fact, the plan is heavily loss-making, since with such characteristics the real cost of a virtual server without discounts would be 10 euro per month. However, Aéza pays for you most of its characteristics, so that every client can get their own personal productive server with the best characteristics for only 1.99 euro!

In fact, promo was created for the initial acquaintance of clients with how virtual and dedicated servers work. We will tell you further about how our clients usually use it and what tasks they solve.

What limitations does this plan have?

To maintain the lowest price, we had to sacrifice some of the additional free services available for all our other plans. Among them:

• No support. Unlike full plans, promo servers cannot use free administration, help with software installation, support for technical issues of software code optimization and equipment configuration. All additional services are unavailable for promo plans and will require you to solve such tasks independently.
• No ability to improve characteristics. Often, when using hosting, there is a need to increase server characteristics — increasing RAM, processor cores, hard disk volume, internet channel speed. For promo plans, increasing resources is completely unavailable, they are the initial stage for new clients to transition to full hosting services.
• No ability to order IPv4 addresses. The cost of the plan does not cover the actual costs of providing the plan, and to purchase additional IPv4 addresses, you will need to switch to a full hosting plan in any of our locations.
• IOPS limitation: no more than 1000 per server. To optimize hard disk usage and avoid its wear, promo plans cannot exceed the number of input-output operations to NVMe per second. Usually 1000 operations per second is enough for most initial tasks for which the promo plan was created. For comparison, this value exceeds hard disk usage speeds by 8-10 times.
• Communication channel limitation to 100 Mbps per second. This rule allowed us to reduce costs and provide such a low cost of the promo service. You can always switch to a full plan if you need a more productive internet channel.
• (for AMS-PROMO) Automatic shutdown in case of RAM overrun. With active use of RAM on the promo plan at the peak of the allocated limit of 8 gigabytes, the server may exceed this limit, which will lead to automatic shutdown. This happens due to the absence of reserve RAM resources in the promo plan and prevention of using RAM of other users.
