What is IOPS?

IOPS (Input/Output Operations Per Second) is an important performance indicator for virtual servers, which determines how many read/write operations a server can perform in one second.

Introduction to IOPS

The higher the IOPS value, the faster the server can process requests and work more efficiently and responsively.

For our servers with high-speed NVMe disks we have set the IOPS ceiling at 1000 for Promo servers, 10,000 IOPS for Shared servers and 30,000 IOPS for Dedicated servers. This means that our servers will be able to provide the highest performance and speed for performing any of your tasks.

When comparing the memory speed of our virtual servers with home SSD and HDD disks, you can notice a significant difference in speed. A typical home HDD operates at a speed within 100-200 IOPS, while SSDs provide speeds from 500 to 1000 IOPS.

Thus, our servers with professional NVMe disks provide much higher speed of read and write operations, surpassing home solutions and assemblies in speed by tens of times even on simple shared plans.

For dedicated servers there are no IOPS limitations, and their speed is initially provided at 100% (reaching up to 50-100 thousand IOPS).

How to remove IOPS limits

We also independently provide for permanent clients for resource-intensive tasks increased speed limits in IOPS, removing any limits and reaching figures up to 50-100,000 IOPS depending on the plan used and location.

To get such an opportunity, it is necessary to use services conscientiously, and over time the system will independently allocate this function to you. Also, if you need it, you can agree on its addition in our support.

Conclusion

In conclusion, IOPS is an important performance indicator for virtual servers, affecting system performance and many potential tasks for you and your clients.

Our virtual servers with NVMe disks provide the highest performance and speed, significantly surpassing other solutions for hosting websites, applications and complex computational tasks, making them an attractive choice for experienced and professional users.
